Join Luca and his Producer
on this breathtaking side-splitting
98 - minute adventure across the Continental
United States.

Luca Wunderbaum -

Luca, the self-proclaimed “professional traveller,” roams the world turning ordinary sightseeing into a category of performance art. Armed with clueless confidence, three drained power banks, and absolutely no sense of direction, he guides people through places he often learned about only moments earlier (accidentally). When you think of warm sandy Norwegian fjords lined with palm trees, Luca already has a “hidden local spot” for you. If a tiny town somewhere in Texas happens to be called Berlin, he will enthusiastically search for the remains of “the wall” and insist there’s “a strong European vibe.” He will guide you through ancient buddhist shrines in any Central-African country in or out of the rainy season.

His culinary expertise is equally legendary. Oriental cuisine made from burgers, “kitchen tika messala,” and dishes seasoned with generous amounts of “yo soy sauce” are among his specialties. He proudly rates restaurants based on the strength of their Wi-Fi, the photogenic quality of their cocktails, and whether the waiter calls him “boss.” To Luca, every meal is authentic as long as it comes with neon lights and a (confusing) fusion menu.

Fluent in the international language of overconfidence, Luca can mispronounce the name of almost any country while simultaneously explaining its history to actual locals. His travel philosophy is simple: if you hold a selfie stick long enough, you eventually become a cultural expert. Whether he’s bargaining for souvenirs from the "FREE TO TAKE" box, reviewing gas station espresso like a Michelin inspector, or accidentally joining private weddings because he thought they were festivals, Luca transforms every destination into a once-in-a-lifetime misunderstanding.

Some people travel to discover the world. Luca travels so the world can discover Luca.

The Great American Road Trip in America

98-minute Hungarian–American comedy road-trip mockumentary, travel-show parody, and behind-the-scenes film written and directed by Robert A. Palmer and Atilla Végh.What begins as the production of a simple travel program quickly descends into chaos when a determined but hopelessly misguided host and his increasingly frustrated producer embark on a ten-day journey across the United States. As they travel from California to the East Coast (and back again?), famous landmarks, roadside attractions, and unexpected encounters become the backdrop for a series of increasingly absurd situations. The film alternates between polished -than destroyed- travel-show segments and the reality behind the camera, where production problems, misunderstandings, and personality clashes steadily threaten to derail the project. Locations change without explanation, facts are presented with complete confidence and even more complete inaccuracy, and the most straightforward filming day can spiral into disaster.

Blending road-trip comedy, mockumentary storytelling, and classic odd-couple dynamics, the film is a playful portrait of America through the eyes of a crew that rarely seems to know where it is. Packed with visual gags, eccentric characters, and unexpected detours, *The Great American Road Trip in America* combines the spirit of classic travel television with the charm of low-budget filmmaking and the unpredictability of a journey gone spectacularly wrong.
